Crowd and Co Acceptable Use Policy

  1. Introduction
  2. Crowd & Co creates networked marketplaces for professional services providers and clients. Our service offerings include:

    • CrowdOne: our private marketplace solution
    • CrowdConnect: our private community network solution
    • Industry Networks: our industry focused public networks and marketplaces (such as StartingBrief for the legal sector).

    These services are provided through applications or website/s that we host.


    This Policy describes what’s acceptable (or not) for Users of all our Services. We may change this Policy from time to time. By continuing to use our Services, you confirm that you agree to abide by our then-current Policy.

  4. Content means anything Crowd & Co, a Member or others contribute, post or upload to the Services.

    Crowd & Co (also referred to as we or us) means Crowd & Company Pty Ltd, incorporated in Australia (ACN 167 242 337) with a UK branch (UK company number FC033909). 

    Intellectual Property Rights means all intellectual and industrial property rights throughout the world, including but not limited to all rights comprised in any copyright (including future copyright and rights in the nature of or analogous to copyright), patent, design, trade mark, database right, circuit layout whether at common law or conferred by statute, whether or not now existing, and whether registered or registerable and including any rights to apply for registration, and rights to protect trade secrets, know-how, goodwill or Confidential Information for the full period of such rights and any renewals or extensions. 

    Member (also referred to as you) means a user of the Services.

    Services means any services we offer or provide to you or other Members from time to time, which may include services marketed as CrowdOne, CrowdConnect, StartingBrief or any other brand mark powered by Crowd & Co, and any related services.

    When using the Services, you agree to:

    1. Comply with all applicable laws, including privacy laws, intellectual property laws, anti-spam laws, export control laws, tax laws, and regulatory requirements;
    2. Provide accurate information to us and keep it updated;
    3. Use your real name on your profile, with accurate and truthful information (including current or previous positions, qualifications or affiliations);
    4. Use the Services in a professional manner.

    Play nice with other Members

    1. Publish or disseminate any unlawful, harassing, libellous, abusive, threatening, harmful, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable material or otherwise breach any laws;
    2. Post inaccurate, defamatory obscene, shocking, hateful, threatening or otherwise inappropriate Content or air personal grievances or disputes;
    3. Transmit material that encourages conduct that constitutes a criminal offence, results in civil liability or otherwise breaches any applicable laws, regulations or code of practice.

    Respect our Intellectual Property Rights

    1. Create a derivative work of the Services by any means whatsoever;
    2. Decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer or otherwise attempt to derive any source code or underlying ideas or algorithms of any part of the Services or allow or cause a third party to do the same, except to the limited extent applicable laws specifically prohibit such restriction;
    3. Develop, support or use software, devices, scripts, robots, or any other means or processes (including crawlers, browser plugins and add-ons, or any other data mining technology or manual work) to scrape the Services or otherwise copy profiles and other data from the Services;
    4. Modify, adapt, publish, communicate to the public, copy, distribute, reproduce or create derivative works of the Services (or any data or materials made available to the Members via the Services);
    5. Do any other act that infringes Intellectual Property Rights in the Services;

    Respect Intellectual Property Rights of other Members (and third parties)

    1. Post any contribution, Content or interaction with other Members that infringes any third party rights, including Intellectual Property Rights;
    2. Disclose information that you do not have the consent to disclose (such as confidential information of others (including your employer or clients);

    Let us provide the Services properly

    1. Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services or any other person’s use or enjoyment of them;
    2. Bypass or circumvent any access controls or Service use limits or security features;
    3. Post anything that contains software viruses, worms, or any other harmful code;
    4. Manipulate identifiers in order to disguise the origin of any message or post transmitted through the Services;
    5. Remove, cover or obscure any advertisement included on the Services;
    6. Interfere with the operation of, or place an unreasonable load on, the Services (e.g. spam, denial of service attack).
